Non writing update – father’s day. A salute to dear old dad

ImageFather’s day. It’s that time of year.

I would like to take the time, to salute my father aka the old man. He’s seventy-seven years of age. Not a recent picture of him. Well, the picture is more than a year old. He has the George Jones look down. His hair colour is slowly going to somewhat a shade of salt and pepper.

Peter Metatawabin. His last name is easier to pronounce than most last names.

A former pastor of a tiny local church. What makes him differ from other pastors. he can’t  read, other than being able to read his own name in Cree or English. Other than preaching the word of God. He will also state the facts and give you advices on how to conduct oneself in life.

ImageAnyways according to pop. Down south, places such as Timmins, Ontario, one the best places to eat is at the Chinese Restaurant.

  1. In this tribute to your father you praise all fathers. We thank you. Beyond that though, you profile a father whom I have come to know through you. Peter Metatawabin is a sturdy man — but where else did you inherit your determined character?
