Anime – Rin: Daughters of Mnemosyne – and a thinking just a bit

Rin: Daughters of Mnemosyne. Anime has dark themes with sexuality and gore, aside with plot holes. The concept itself is interesting. When women absorbs the time fruit, they become immortal and with men, they become short lived creatures that are called angels by the female immortals. And angels eat female immortals, and the women they get aroused when they eaten alive, of which is creepy by itself. That concept fits perfectly in the story.

This type of anime is not everyone’s cup of tea.

And I am not going to spoil it, if anyone wishes to watch it. It’s on netflix.

After watching the anime, I have been thinking of stepping up to the plate in regards to adding dark themes and other things to one of my WIP.

  1. You are right, this kind of art is not everyone’s cup of tea. Certainly not mine. But you show a bit of light when you say it is easily available through Netflix. I wish you had given specific instructions how to find it. Those of us who belong to Netflix could hunt in down and see how it plays out on screen.
The plot is certainly complicated — it might make more sense when I watch it.

    • There are other anime that are equally gruesome. Elfen Lied is one of them, but you can’t find it anymore. Gore, nudity and dark themes.
As for Rin: daughters of Mnemosyne, you can find on netflix by typing on the title.
Another interesting fact about that anime, is that the only way kill female immortals and the males turned into female immortal eating creatures, is by removing the time fruit from their bodies.
